There is no truth to the rumor that Darrell Waltrip will replace his trademark "boogity boogity boogity" with "Michael Michael Michael." Might be funny if he did, though.
There is an awful lot of piling-on, going on, in Michael Waltrips current cell of purgatory. Anybody even the slightest bit interested in NASCAR has heard or read an account of the accident. I don't know what happened. Probably, neither do you. I hope two things. One that he is OK - and by that, I mean healthy. Second, there will come a time when he will be able to laugh about the last two months. I hope that time comes soon. Shawn Courchesne of the Backstretch has a list of reasons for the wreck. Pretty funny. Steve would appreciate #8.
8. --- Obviously the problem was Goodyear didn't bring a good tire.
John Newsome, the Spotter, quoted Jenna Fryer of the AP, who quoted the unidentified witness who found Mikey ...
After I got off the phone I was walking around the car again and somebody stuck their foot out the back driver side of the window," she said. "That's when Michael Waltrip got out. He wiggled out the back window. I knew immediately it was him. He just got out the back driver side window and stood up. more...
I checked. No roof hatch in the 2007 Toyota Landcruiser. Nothing like corroborating stories. I R a journalist.
There is a Car of Yesterday race this weekend at the classic mile and a half, Texas Motor Speedway. Does anyone else feel like the races are a distraction? Boogity Boogity.

There are so many opportunities for jokes, they are better left alone. I too hope Waltrip is ok and that he makes the race. Without him, this season would be a snoozer so far.

Thanks for the tip about your site. The way NASCAR works, he might win at Texas.

Everyone hopes MW is okay. The oportunities are endless. Michael's newest sponsor will have to be NoDoze. What is better than a NASCAR driver being involved in an accident and climbing out the window? I wonder if "the witness" walked over to the drivers door and checked it? It would be a hoot if it opened.
I do remember hearing that Toyota tested several tires on that Land Cruiser and deemed them all unacceptable. They had some Goodyears sitting around that weren't tested; so figured they would be okay.
