Hello? Is this Bench Racing with Steve and what's his name? Good - I'm what's his name. I apologize for missing the last couple days. Work related chores and Mother Nature have conspired to limit my meager contributions. Not no mo.
Storms in my area last night killed our power and kept me from watching the Busch race at the new Bristol Motor Speedway. Sounds like I missed a good one.
I hear there was two and sometimes three wide racing (I'd wager the latter didn't last long) on top of the usual Bristol bangin'. Great finish, I'm told, with Kasey Kahne holding off the Toyotas of Leffler and Reutimann and the Dodge of Flyin' Ryan. Wish I could have seen it.
I did see, in the recaps of the race, that Brad Kesolowski, driving the #88 Navy Chevy for JR Motorsports, finished seventh. Brad's opportunity to drive the #88 is shaping up as one of the real feel good stories of 2007. He is regularly beating many Busch-wackers and looks like a real find for JR/Hendrick.
The power's back on and with a little luck I'll get to actually see tonight's Cup race in Thunder Valley. Bristol is getting the full test this week - what with the Trucks, Busch cars and now the CoTs all running on the new concrete. Ought to be fun.

You did miss a good one.
The last 10 laps or so started with Newman leading. Kane and Leffler caught him (Newman had about 160 laps on his tires!!!!)
It was an awesome battle ending with Kane taking the lead, Newman rubbing into Leffler and cutting his tire and going into the wall.
It was great. And all of 3 of them did awesome not to wreck each other, just to do some banging around.
That was 3 wide. But you are right, any three wide action was limited.
But, Nemwan and Kane both drove the whole race on the TOP of the track....wow.
We also had bad storms here yesterday resulting in at least 1 tornado and several other "tornado like" incidents". Right here in Lansing and surrounding areas.

Junior needs to lock young Mr. Keselowski up.. he did a fine job last night...nothing like a 4 way battle for the lead in the closing laps... 3 wide and banging and beatin..with my guy Reutiman right there in the mix ...Good stuff there

Charlie... off topic, but get over it.
There's a "race" at Flat Rock Speeedway coming up you might like to report on.
September 29-30 they are holding the "24 Hours of Lemons"
Junkers worth under 500 dollars... "running" for 24 hours?!
It should be an absolute zoo on the high banks of Flat Rock.
As long as the Strohs says cold it should be some party.

Marc I am on the case. I will talk to Scott Schultz, the GM of the GM at Toledo Speedway and Flat Rock. Who's buyin' the Strohs anyway?
