The 2007 season is history but there are plenty of questions to be asked and answered. Take a shot at these as we wait for the final Nextel Cup banquet to arrive.
Even with all the complaining by traditional NASCAR fans, the sport continues to attract huge numbers of fans; both at the race tracks and in front of their media devises. Conventional TV ratings may again be down, but how many people are finding alternatives? There are more ways than ever to enjoy a NASCAR event and more ways to time shift the race broadcasts.
The Buzz ON PIT ROW is:
Who is most likely to dethrone Jimmy Johnson in 2008?
The Fast Lap this week asks:
1) Should NASCAR set and/or employ the broadcast teams for its race broadcasts?
2) Car of Tomorrow or Old Car?
3) Who was the MVP on the 48 team?
4) Junior in 2008--over or under 4 wins?
Let us know how you feel about these questions, or anything else that happened since last February in Daytona. If we like your comments, whether we agree or not, we may use them on the air during Tuesday's ON PIT ROW. Leave us a comment on the blog or call the show--toll free at 1-877-502-8255 between 5-7pm edt on Tuesdays.

Buzz: Whoa, it is easier to say who isn't, than who will. But if I have to choose: Jeff Gordon - I can't believe I just wrote that.
Laps:
1) No. They are already seen as too controling already, and now this? The conspiracy freaks would have a hay-day.
2)CoT, because of what it is supposed to be: a safer car. Personally I like the CoY, but if the drivers are safer then so be it.
3) Chad. No 'ifs', 'ands', or 'buts' about it. Period.
4) Under. 3 to be exact.

Buzz--Who I want to do the dethroning isn't necessarily the best answer for this, but I will say Tony Stewart. He has a three year pattern going and is once again on the cover of the NASCAR video game.
1 Yes, but only if it's booth bunnies are Mike Joy, Larry McReynolds,
and Kyle Petty
2 CoT because they aren't using the old car in Cup
3 Chad.
4 I'm predicting three wins, but more top tens than in '07

Buzz - I would LOVE to agree with RevJim & say Tony Stewart, but the simple fact that he's driving Toyota next year will hinder him from any serious championship run. Gordon's not going to have as great of a year in '08 as he did this season. I've gotta go with Matt Kenseth.
Laps:
1) Absolutely not. To be honest, after about 2 months I get burned out on hearing the same announcers as it is, I'd hate to imagine what it'd be like if I went nine months listening to the same people. I like the mix & match that currently exists.
2) I have no preference. The COT definitely has its kinks that are still being worked out, but that should be expected. Within a couple years we'll have all forgotten about the "Car of Old".
3) Chad Knauss ... as always.
4) Under. I'll give him 2 or 3 wins in '08.
